Camp Horizon supported by the West Norriton Township Recreation Department. Become an actor and stretch your imagination at Camp Horizon's one - week creative drama camp. Emphasizing creativity, communication, and teamwork. Camp Horizon's experienced and supportive teachers will guide participants through energizing theater games like improvisation and storytelling, and fun crafts like costumes, prop and set design. Participants will use their voices, bodies, and imagination to write and perform their own show based on a popular story ro theme of their own choosing. The group will present a final performance in costume for family and friends.

Camp held at Norristown Area High SchoolUltimate Summer Soccer Camp would like to invite you to an extraordinary summer soccer clinic, run by the Jeffersonville Soccer Club Men's Division. Our camp runs the first week of August in the evenings from 5:30 - 5:30 and each player receives a shirt and ball. We'd like to welcome all those who are interested in the West Norriton, East Norriton, Norristown and surrounding communities, ages 7 to 18 join us for a week full of learning and fun! A quality athletic program for children ages 5-14. 2008 Registrations for Veterans and new players will be held in June and July at the Bandits Snack Stand on Norristown State Hospital Grounds, Standbridge St. Gate 5 entrance. The girls of West Norriton have a new home for our youth softball program with 2 brand new regulation size softball fields.

The fields are located below the current home of West Norriton Little League at the intersection of Burnside Avenue and West Marshall St. We are extremely excited about our new facility and are continuously making improvements to the complex. We encourage you to sign up and get involved!

7-9 year olds will practice and play on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m.

10-13 year olds will practice and play on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m.

Registrations are currently being taken Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Township Building. Deadline to register is April 1, 2008. The program will begin in late April. Exact starting dates will be handed out at the time of registration. Forms may also be printed out above and mailed in. Coaches/Volunteers needed!

Due to popular demand we will be adding a 16-under age group this season. This group will participate in our own league play and also compete against other local area teams. Games and practices will be held at the Burnside/Oakland Park softball field, the previously mentioned new softball fields at Burnside and W. Marshall St. and other local area fields. Any and all travel will be within 20 minutes of West Noriton Township. Registrations are currently being taken Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Township Building. Deadline - March 15, 2008. The program will begin in April. Exact starting dates will be handed out at the time of registration. Forms may also be printed out above and mailed in. Coaches/Volunteers needed! Age determined as of 4/1/08.

West Norriton Little League's 56th baseball season will begin on April 5, 2008 with Opening Day ceremonies scheduled for April 19. Players that are at least 5 years of age and at most 16 years of age by April 30 are encouraged to register for WNLL Tee Ball, Farm, Minor, Major, Junior, and Senior Leagues at WNLL.com. Registration is required even if the child played previously. After registering, players will be assigned to teams and subsequently contacted by their coaches regarding practice and game schedules.

West Norriton Little League's Tee ball program serves as a great opportunity to introduce your child to organized baseball and will be played Saturday mornings beginning in April.

West Norriton Little League (WNLL), in conjunction with West Norriton Township's Recreation Department, will host a FREE Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, & Run Competition for area youth on April 20 beginning at 2 p.m. at the WNLL complex at the corner of Burnside Avenue and Marshall St. Competitors will be divided into four age divisions and have the chance to advance to the national finals in July at the 2008 MLB All-Star game at Yankee Stadium! CO-ED SOFTBALL
The league is open to West Norriton residents as well as non-resident adults. The games are played on Sunday afternoons at Oakland Padden Park and surrounding fields. Program will be held on Monday evenings at Marshall Street Elementary School beginning Monday, March 24, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Program runs for 5 weeks. Registrations are currently being taken Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Township Building. Deadline for registration is March 20, 2008.

Boys & Girls ages 5-13 (must be 5 years old by June 1st, 2008). Proof of age for any child under 6 years old.

Camp will run from Monday, June 23rd, to Friday, August 1st, 2008. Our Summer Day Camp Program's daily hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday.

Among the various activities offered will be Arts & Crafts, daily sporting activities, special guest appearances and day trip, such as movies, bowling, roller skating, the theatre (children's plays), and Sesame Place.

Cost: Resident (Proof of Residency required) 1 child $200.00, 2 children $350.00 - Family of 3 or more $500.00

Non-Resident - 1 child $300.00, 2 children $500.00 - Family of 3 or more $650.00.

REGISTRATIONS WILL BE OPEN TO WEST NORRITON RESIDENTS ONLY MARCH 1ST THROUGH APRIL 15TH. OPEN TO ALL APRIL 15TH - JUNE 1ST. West Norriton residents ages 6-15 and adult lessons. Raymond Capistrano will be instructing. Karate is held on Wednesday evenings at Marshall Street Elementary School. Cost is $5.00/session for children, $10.00 for adults. Times are as follows:

All bicycle owners in West Norriton Township. Bike inspections take place at theWest Norriton Police Station, 1630 W. Marshall St., Wednesdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - If you had your bike registered and inspected in previous years, it won't be necessary again this year.

Gathering Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7 p.m. and every third Wednesday of the month thereafter. The group meets at the Jeffersonville Golf Course Club House. Silver Circle starts in September and runs until June. For more information call Karen Schultz at 610-630-8435.

Jeffersonville Socer Club is a select travel soccer club that has been growing since 1990. Currently we have 7 youth soccer teams and 2 junior teams in the Inter-County Soccer League. We are looking for skilled players between the ages of 7 and 17 that are willing to be committed to our select travel organization.
