[ARCHIVED] PECO to Replace Natural Gas Line on Egypt Road

PECO will begin replacing 4,800 feet of 6-inch steel pipeline that currently exists within Egypt Rd. The pipeline runs west to east from Trooper Rd. to School Ln. Work is slated to begin on April 28, 2015 at the intersection of Trooper Rd. and Egypt Rd.

PECO will work at night at the start of the project beginning at the intersection of Trooper Rd. and Egypt Rd. Nighttime work will last roughly 4 weeks and will switch over to daytime work.The project should last for 15 weeks with daytime construction to occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The proposed work consists of installing 4,800 feet of 6-inch plastic pipeline to replace the 6-inch steel pipeline that currently exists within Egypt Rd. The work will consist of excavating an open trench within the cartway of Egypt Rd. PECO will also be relocating any indoor natural gas meters to the exterior of customers homes.
