Reporting Crimes or Suspicious Activity

The West Norriton Township Police Department is resolved to investigating all violations of the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the ordinances and regulations of the township and prosecuting those violations when appropriate.

How to Report

Should you observe a crime in progress, are aware of criminal activity, witness a crime, are the victim of a crime, observe suspicious activity, or require immediate police assistance you are encouraged to call 911 as soon as possible. For non-emergencies, information, or questions, please feel free to call the West Norriton Township Police Department at 610-630-1701. All complaints and calls for service will be handled promptly. Our police station and administration offices are located at 1630 West Marshall Street, across from the Marshall Street School. An emergency phone is located at the front door of the police department should you find the doors locked after normal business hours.

Anonymous Complaints

Anonymous complaints will be investigated, but the police department encourages you to provide your name and contact information in case further information is required, or a witness is needed for identification or prosecution purposes.

Although some complaints can be handled by phone, the police department would prefer to respond to your home, place of business or location of the incident. Complaints can also be made at the Police Department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Again, if an officer is not in the station, a phone is located next to the front door of the police station. Simply pick up the phone and a dispatcher from Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch Services will answer.
