Uniform Crime Report

The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) is a national effort to collect information on crime. Federal, state, county, tribal, and municipal law enforcement agencies throughout the country submit information on part I and part II offenses known to law enforcement and persons arrested.

Officers Assaulted or Killed

Incidents involving law enforcement officers assaulted or killed and incidents involving hate crimes are also reported. The data generated by these submissions results in the publication of three reports:

  • Crime in the United States
  • Hate Crime Statistics
  • Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted

The West Norriton Police Department submits the UCR to Pennsylvania State Police on a monthly basis. The Pennsylvania State Police then forwards the UCR to the FBI.
