Today, September 10, 2021, President Joseph R. Biden Jr., granted a Major Disaster Declaration for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania triggering the release of Federal funds to help communities recover from the Remnants of Hurricane Ida that occurred August 31 - September 5, 2021. Individual Assistance (IA): (Assistance to individuals and households):
IA-Designated Counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and York Counties.
Public Assistance (PA): (Assistance for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities):
PA-Designated Counties: Under Review.
Hazard Mitigation (HM): (Assistance for actions taken to prevent or reduce long term risk to life and property from natural hazards):
HM-Designated Areas: All areas in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are eligible to apply for assistance under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
OTHER: Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the Commonwealth and warranted by the results of further assessments.
