In March, a serious incident of racial harassment occurred in a store in a neighboring township. That township’s Board of Commissioners, police department, and the Willow Grove branch of the NAACP have strongly condemned the incident which was captured on camera and published on social media.
The woman victim of the harassment suffered verbal abuse, which the West Norriton HRC recognizes can cause pain and serious trauma not only for the individual, but also for the entire community.
The West Norriton HRC stands with our neighbors in condemning racism and discrimination in any form. We are committed to building a community where everyone feels safe, valued and respected. There is “No Place for Hate” in our community.
